This policy explains what selfhacking.com collects, why, and the choices you have. The site is operated by SelfHacking. Questions and requests: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Orders. When you buy a guide you give us your name and email, and a phone number or address if you enter them. Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal or Cash App; we keep the order record and the payment reference we need for delivery, receipts and support.
  • Account sign-in. Signing in uses a one-time link sent to your email. We keep your email and your order history.
  • Checkout messages. If you start a checkout and leave, we may email or text you about it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and every text accepts STOP.
  • Server logs. Our host and Cloudflare, which protects the site, record IP address, browser and requested pages for security and to run the site.
  • Page views. We count article views on our own server (page, date, referring site), without cookies.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies run the cart (sh_cart), your sign-in session and your cookie choice (sh_consent). They are always on.

Analytics and advertising cookies are set by third parties and are used to measure traffic and the results of our advertising:

  • Google Analytics (traffic measurement) and the Google Ads conversion tag. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. Opt out at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • PostHog (product analytics). On checkout and product pages it may record how the page is used; form fields are masked.
  • Meta Pixel (advertising measurement on Facebook and Instagram). Adjust at Meta ad preferences.
  • Rumble advertising tag on article, checkout and order pages.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these third-party cookies stay off until you accept them in the cookie bar. You can change your choice by deleting the sh_consent cookie in your browser. Elsewhere you can block them with the opt-out links above or your browser settings. European visitors can also use youronlinechoices.eu.

Who we share data with

Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Cash App), our email and SMS delivery providers, our hosting and Cloudflare, and the analytics and advertising vendors named above, each for the purpose described. We do not sell personal data. Some of these providers are in the United States; if you are outside the US your data is transferred there under their standard safeguards.

Your rights and choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to marketing, by emailing [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. Order records are kept as long as accounting rules require.

Children

The site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy here with a new date.
